Getting to Know Her Blossoms

Getting to Know Her Blossoms

Welcome to Her Blossoms!

We are very glad your here and we love that you want to learn more about us.  We are passionate about what we do and hope you can see just how much fun we have while doing it.

That's me, Linda, in the center beside my daughter and business partner, Betsy, and my granddaughter Hazel (aka Betsy's daughter).

Her Blossoms Flower Farm came to life in the Fall of 2021.  After more than two decades working side by side my husband, Brian, as landscape contractors, we were looking for a change. So after accidentally finding out you could farm flowers on a small scale profitably, I was as hooked, jumping with both feet into a new life!

Originally, we went by H.E.R. Blossoms Flower Farm.  H.E.R. is an acronym for my three granddaughters whose names are Hazel, Elsie and Ruby. The three of them were my inspiration from the very start.

I wanted to build something that would mean something to them and ultimately, build something FOR them.  And although those pesky dots between the letters were eventually dropped for causing too much confusion, those little girls (along with our grandson Brian) still serve as my reasons for working so hard at what we do on our little flower farm.

My love for growing flowers was engrained in me as a small child by both my mother and my maternal grandparents. Spending time in gardens with them creating memories and gaining in confidence by learning to be a part of God's much larger Earthly processes instilled in me not only knowledge of the basic how-to's but also an appreciation for the natural world and what it means to us all.

Grandma & Grandad. Boy, were they important to me.

It was those brief moments in time in a garden as a kid that would shape just about everything of my adult life.  My love for growing things, especially flowers, really took root when my own children were very small.  As a stay at home mom I learned as long as I stayed busy, so too would my kids! ;)

Gardening became an outlet that eventually morphed into a side hustle that evolved into a full fledged landscape design build company with 12 employees at one point.

Turns out along the way, Betsy fell in love with flowers too!  Now we spend most of our days together.  Figuring it all out, learning together, griping and problem solving together is what we do best and we do it as a team.  Our hope is Hazel, her brother and her cousins will join us in this venture more deeply as the years continue to pass.

We invite you to stop out and see us during the growing season.  Wander around.  See all the things.  And how we do them.

Spending even just a few minutes surrounded by the beauty of flowers can be so intense it literally takes your breath away.  But they can leave you feeling more grounded in the world we are all blessed to call home.

So come here to remember,

"Life moves pretty fast.

If you don't stop and look around once in a while,

you could miss it."
